16:9 → 9:16

Going vertical, without cropping out half the useful frame.

A dumb center crop cuts faces and keeps the void. Nysos's Format Converter analyzes the frame: it tracks the speaking face, builds a clean split when there are two speakers, and falls back to a blurred background when the scene doesn't crop cleanly.

Auto: Nysos picks the best framing on its own. Split: your video on top, an image or a second video below — the classic gameplay/reaction format.

What changes

Framing is a per-shot decision, not a global setting.

Within one video, a wide shot reframes on the face, a two-person shot splits, a screen recording goes blurred-background. Nysos decides shot by shot — the difference between “converted” and “watchable”.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What happens to what falls outside the frame?

The reframe keeps the action zone (face, subject). If the frame is too wide to cut safely, blurred-background mode keeps the whole video centered over a blurred backdrop.

Does it work for a two-person podcast?

Yes: the split format stacks both speakers in the vertical frame, and framing can follow whoever is talking.

Is quality degraded?

Output is 1080×1920. Reframing necessarily enlarges part of the image: the sharper your source (1080p or more), the cleaner the vertical result.

Can I convert without generating clips?

Yes, that's exactly what the Format Converter does: one video in, the same video out in vertical. Highlight detection is a separate tool.
