Facecam and gameplay

Put your facecam above your gameplay in a vertical clip

A vertical gaming clip needs your reaction and the game on screen at the same time. Nysos builds that layout for you: it detects the corner webcam in your stream, places it on top at full width and crops the gameplay below it in 9:16. Animated subtitles and a title card are added. Paste a Twitch or Kick link, or let Live Watcher monitor your channel.

How it works

01

Paste your stream or turn on Live Watcher

Paste a Twitch VOD or a Kick link into the form. If you stream, Live Watcher monitors your channel and starts processing as soon as the live ends, so you have nothing to paste at all.

02

Nysos finds the webcam

Nysos analyzes the picture shot by shot. When it detects a corner webcam, it switches to the facecam and gameplay layout. Detection is fully automatic.

03

Get 9:16 clips

You get vertical 9:16 clips: facecam on top, game below, animated subtitles. Download them one by one or as a ZIP, or publish them to TikTok and YouTube straight from Nysos.

How Nysos detects your facecam

Detection is automatic. Nysos looks at the picture of your stream and searches for a corner webcam, meaning the small window with your face sitting in a corner of the game. The decision is made shot by shot, like the rest of the 9:16 reframing, and not once for the whole video.

This detection is part of the automatic reframing: for each shot, Nysos chooses between a column that follows a face, a centered video on a blurred background, a split screen for a two-person podcast or, for a gaming stream, the facecam and gameplay layout.

The layout: facecam on top, game below

When a corner webcam is detected, it moves to the top of the clip at full width. This panel takes between 22 and 45% of the screen height. The game fills the remaining space below, cropped to vertical. Your reaction and the gameplay end up in the same frame, readable on a phone.

Animated subtitles sit at the bottom of the screen and the spoken word is highlighted. The title card, if you turn it on, goes on the seam between the facecam and the game: a rounded white pill with black capital letters, three lines at most, shown for 5 seconds at the start of the clip. The title is 60 characters or fewer, written in the language of the video, and you can edit it.

No facecam: a centered crop

Not every stream has a corner webcam. Without one, the clip is framed in 9:16 on the center of the picture and gets the same animated subtitles. A stream without a camera is simply handled as usual, and you do not have to change anything.

If the result does not suit you on a given clip, you can reframe by hand from the clip page: one full-screen frame or two stacked frames, then you regenerate the clip. You can go back to automatic framing at any time. This reframing only applies to that clip: the others keep their automatic framing.

For streamers: Live Watcher

If you stream, Live Watcher monitors your Twitch and Kick channels and starts processing when the live ends. Facecam and game are laid out automatically, without you opening the form. It is included in every plan, free plan included, and one minute of live counts as one minute of your quota.

Each recording lasts 8 hours at most. You can attach a preset (subtitle style, postable title, flash intro) so your clips always come out in the same style. On Twitch, the chat also helps spot the strongest moments, on top of audio, picture and transcript. Nysos then proposes the clips and you choose which ones to publish.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I put my facecam above the game for TikTok?

Paste your Twitch VOD or Kick link into Nysos. If a corner webcam is detected, it moves to the top of the clip at full width and the game is cropped to vertical below it. There is nothing to set: you then download or publish the 9:16 clip.

Does Nysos detect my webcam by itself?

Yes. Detection is automatic and happens shot by shot on the picture of the stream. Without a corner webcam, the clip is framed on the center, and you can reframe by hand from the clip page.

How big is the facecam in the clip?

The height of the panel is decided automatically by Nysos and stays between 22 and 45% of the clip height. If the layout does not suit you on a clip, you can use the manual reframing on the clip page, with one full-screen frame or two stacked frames.

What happens if I stream without a facecam?

Nysos frames the clip in 9:16 on the center of the picture and adds the same animated subtitles. You simply get a clip without a camera panel. You can also reframe by hand from the clip page, then go back to automatic framing whenever you like.

Where do the subtitles and the title go on a facecam clip?

Animated subtitles sit at the bottom of the screen. The title card, if you turn it on, goes on the seam between the facecam and the game, for 5 seconds at the start of the clip. You can edit it on the clip page, then regenerate the clip.

Does it work with Live Watcher, and for free?

Yes: Live Watcher is included in every plan, free plan included, and it applies the same layout to your clips. The free plan gives you 60 minutes per month with no credit card, rendered in 720p with the “Made with Nysos” watermark. Paid plans remove the watermark, and 1080p starts with the Starter plan.
