Paste a YouTube, Twitch or Kick link, or import a video file. Nysos finds the strongest moments in the long video and prepares each clip in vertical 9:16, without you having to pick a framing mode.
A horizontal video does not fit a vertical screen, and a fixed crop on the centre cuts people out. Nysos looks at each shot and picks the framing that fits: the face followed frame by frame, a blurred background when the shot is difficult, a split screen for a conversation between two people, or the webcam above the game for a stream.
Paste a YouTube, Twitch or Kick link, or import a video file. Nysos finds the strongest moments in the long video and prepares each clip in vertical 9:16, without you having to pick a framing mode.
At every shot change the framing adapts: a column that follows the face, a blurred background, a split screen for two people, or the facecam above the gameplay. Animated captions are then placed on top of the result.
Not happy with the framing on a clip? Open its page, choose “Reframe manually” with one or two frames, then apply the framing: the clip is rendered again. “Back to auto framing” restores the choice Nysos made.
A video never keeps the same composition from start to finish: a tight shot on one person is followed by a wide shot, then a shot with two people. So Nysos makes the decision at every shot. When there is a single face, the vertical 9:16 column follows it frame by frame, so the person stays in the picture even when they move around.
When a shot is difficult, meaning the face cannot be tracked or several faces are on screen, the video is centred on a blurred background instead of being forcibly cropped. A podcast with two people gets a split screen, one face per panel. A stream gets the facecam on top and the gameplay below. All of this happens automatically.
Going from a horizontal image to a vertical one means throwing away most of the width: a 9:16 frame taken from the centre of a 16:9 video keeps just under a third of the picture. If the speaker sits on the left, or two guests face each other, the centre may only show the empty space between them.
That is how you end up with clips showing half a face. By following the face, rebuilding the composition for two people, or placing the video on a blurred background, Nysos avoids betting on a single fixed point in a video whose shots keep changing. You then choose which clips to publish.
You can also choose the framing yourself. From a clip’s page, “Reframe manually” lets you place the frame on the wide shot: a single full-screen frame to show one person or one object, or two stacked frames when you want to show two people or two areas of the picture at once.
Once the frame is in place, “Apply this framing” renders the clip again on it, with the same caption and title settings. If you prefer the choice Nysos made, “Back to auto framing” restores it, shot by shot. You can therefore try a manual framing without being locked into it: you can go back to the automatic choice whenever you like.
The link you paste in the form is meant for creating clips from a long video. If you already have a finished video, such as an MP4, MOV or WebM file, or an existing Nysos clip, Smart Reframe turns it vertical without any link. Its Auto mode follows the same logic: face followed, split screen for two people or blurred background, shot by shot.
Smart Reframe also offers manual framing, with one or two frames for the whole video, and can add captions, a title and your logo. The cost equals the video’s length in minutes and is shown before you start. You get a vertical video, with a before and after comparison. It suits a video that already exists and only needs to be turned vertical.
Paste a YouTube, Twitch or Kick link into Nysos, or import your file. Each clip is reframed to 9:16 shot by shot, with nothing for you to set. If you already have a finished video and only want it vertical, Smart Reframe does the same from a file.
Yes, when a single face is visible: the 9:16 column follows it frame by frame. If the face cannot be tracked or the shot shows several, the video is centred on a blurred background; for a podcast with two people, the split screen takes over.
Open the clip’s page, choose “Reframe manually”, place one full-screen frame or two stacked frames on the wide shot, then click “Apply this framing”. The clip is rendered again with your frame. “Back to auto framing” restores the choice Nysos made.
The framing follows the faces and the composition of each shot. For a podcast, the split screen shows both people at the same time, each in their own half of the screen, and you can fix a clip you are not happy with by hand.
Yes, with Smart Reframe: you import an MP4, MOV or WebM file, or start from an existing Nysos clip. Auto mode decides shot by shot, manual mode applies one or two frames to the whole video. The cost, equal to the length in minutes, is shown before you launch.
You can try it on the free plan: 60 minutes per month, no credit card. Free renders come out in 720p with the “Made with Nysos” watermark, which paid plans remove. Reframing is part of the normal processing of your clips.
