Smart Reframe is the tool for a video that already exists: an MP4, MOV or WebM file, or an existing Nysos clip. You pick the framing, the caption style, an optional title and your preset’s logo, you see the cost in minutes before you start, and you compare before and after. To cut a long video into several clips, use the Clip Pipeline, the main form, instead.
How it works
Choose the framing and the finishing touches
Pick “Smart framing” (Auto or Split) or “Manual framing” (one or two frames), then a caption style, an optional title and your preset’s logo. The cost in minutes is displayed before you launch.
Compare and download
Start the job. You get a captioned 9:16 video with a before and after comparison so you can check the framing. If it looks right, download it: it is ready for TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Reels.
The framing modes
Auto mode, under “Smart framing”, decides shot by shot: a single face is followed in a 9:16 column, a conversation between two people becomes a split screen, and a difficult shot is centered on a blurred background. You have nothing to set. Because the choice is made shot by shot, the framing can change within one video.
Split mode stacks two pieces of content: your video on top, a photo or a video below. The sound comes from the video on top. With “Manual framing”, you define one frame or two stacked frames yourself, and they apply to the whole video. It suits cases where you know exactly what you want to show.
Captions, title and logo
Captions appear word by word, in the language of the video, which is detected automatically. You choose among six styles: Nysos Pro, Storytime, Punch, Anime, Casual and Clean, or none at all. The spoken word is highlighted, and colors, font and position come with the style you choose.
You can add an optional title of up to 120 characters. Your preset’s logo is placed on the video for its whole duration, above the captions and the title. You choose one of four corners and one of three sizes. The logo is added in a preset, on the Presets page, or directly from Smart Reframe. The logo is available from the Starter plan for accounts created since September 24, 2026.
Cost and before/after comparison
Smart Reframe costs the duration of your video in minutes, taken from your monthly quota (60 minutes a month on the free plan, no credit card needed). The figure is displayed before you launch, so you know what you are spending before you confirm. A ten-minute video counts for ten minutes.
When the job is done, a before and after comparison lets you check your original video against the result. You can see at a glance whether the frame cuts off a face and whether the captions are readable, then download the 9:16 video. One video goes in, one video comes out.

Smart Reframe keeps your video whole: one video goes in, one video comes out. It is the right tool for a clip that is already edited, a short video, or an excerpt you have already chosen. With a finished piece, you reframe and caption it here.
For a long video such as a podcast, an interview, a live or a VOD, use the Clip Pipeline, the main form. You paste a YouTube, Twitch or Kick link, or import a file, and Nysos spots the strong moments and suggests them as clips. Automatic silence removal applies to the clips created there.
