Adjust, cut and fix every clip from its own page

Nysos suggests clips that are ready to publish, and each clip page lets you polish them: you set the start and end, cut a section out of the middle, fix the captions, change the style or the framing, then regenerate the clip. All the tools a vertical clip needs are gathered in one place.

How it works

01

Open the clip page

In your clip list, open the clip you want to touch up. The page gathers the video, its captions and every tool in one place: length, text, style, title, intro and framing. You edit right there, with nothing to export or re-import.

02

Adjust what needs to change

Move the start and end, cut a section out of the middle, fix a word in the captions, change the style, add the title card or the flash intro, or reframe by hand. Undo and redo buttons let you step back while you adjust the length.

03

Regenerate the clip

Click “Regenerate clip” and Nysos renders the clip again from the source video with your settings. You then get the new vertical 9:16 clip, ready to download or publish.

Trim a Short or cut a section out

Under “Adjust duration”, the start and the end of the clip are set separately. You move them in steps of 5 seconds or 1 second, or you park the video on the exact frame you want and click “Set to playhead” to pin the boundary there. It is a direct way to trim a Short that starts too early or ends too late.

The “Cut” button removes a section from the middle of the clip. You keep the hook at the start and the punchline at the end, and drop the detour that slows the story down. If you cut too much, undo and redo take you back or forward one step. The final length can go from 1 second to 5 minutes.

A word on silences: Nysos removes them automatically at every render (stretches of very low sound with no spoken word). On a clip whose boundaries you have adjusted by hand, the original pacing is kept as it is: whenever you change the length, play the whole clip after regenerating it to check that it suits you.

Fix the captions of a clip

The caption text is already corrected by AI after transcription, and you can refine it yourself, for example for a proper name or a technical term. Open “Scene analysis”, then “Edit”, and fix the text directly. Regenerate the clip afterwards so the new render uses your wording, with no need to upload the video again.

You can also switch style from “Subtitles”, then “Change”: Nysos Pro, Storytime, Punch, Anime, Casual or Clean, or no captions at all. The spoken word is highlighted, and colors, font and position follow the chosen style. Regenerate the clip to apply the new style.

Title card and flash intro

Every clip gets a short title of 60 characters at most, written in the language of the video. You can edit it in the text field on the clip page, then click “Regenerate clip”. The title card burns that title into the video: a rounded white pill with black capital letters, up to three lines, shown for the first 5 seconds. Switch it on or off with “Title card at the start”.

The “Flash” intro adds a white flash with a camera-shutter sound for 0.65 seconds at the start of the clip. It is a short opening cue that you can turn on or off clip by clip. To get the same look on all your clips, save the title and the intro in a preset.

Reframe by hand or build a Split

Nysos picks the 9:16 framing shot by shot: a column that follows the face, the video centered on a blurred background, a split screen. To decide the framing yourself, “Reframe manually” lets you place one full-screen frame or two stacked frames. “Back to auto framing” undoes that choice and hands control back to Nysos.

The “Split” button builds a two-part video: your clip on top, a photo or a video of your choice below, and the title in the middle. It opens Smart Reframe in Split mode with your clip already loaded. It is handy when you want to illustrate what is being said with an image or a short extract, without opening an editing program.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I shorten a Short I already generated?

Open the clip page, then “Adjust duration”: move the start and end in steps of 5 seconds or 1 second, or set them to the playhead position. Then regenerate the clip. The final length can go from 1 second to 5 minutes, as long as the source video is still kept.

How do I cut a section out of the middle of a clip?

Use the “Cut” button under “Adjust duration”: it removes a section from the middle of the clip. The undo and redo buttons let you go back on a cut. Remember to regenerate the clip afterwards to get the new render.

How do I fix a typo in a clip's captions?

Open “Scene analysis” on the clip page, click “Edit” and correct the text. Then “Regenerate clip” renders the clip again with your text. The captions are already corrected by AI after transcription, and you can refine a proper name or a technical term yourself.

Can I change the caption style after the clip is made?

Yes. On the clip page, open “Subtitles”, click “Change” and pick one of the six styles: Nysos Pro, Storytime, Punch, Anime, Casual or Clean. Then regenerate the clip. The font and the color come with the style you pick.

Which tools are on a clip page?

The clip page brings together “Adjust duration” (start, end and “Cut” to remove a section from the middle), caption fixes in “Scene analysis”, the style choice, the title card, the flash intro, manual reframing and the “Split” button. You confirm everything with “Regenerate clip”.

How long can I keep editing a clip after processing?

Editing relies on the source video. It is kept for 7 days after processing, and for 30 days if you have a subscription or imported a file. As long as it is kept, the clip page can render the clip again from the source.
